Life’s a Beach!

Hola Amigos! Sorry we haven’t posted anything new lately but we got busy.  Had to take a quick trip back to San Diego to take care of some things and then I got a little sick so I had been staying on the down low getting better. We got some cool up coming trips planned out that we are excited about and will definitely be blogging about it.

The other day we were chilling out having drinks at “My Paradise Beach Club”, just taking in the ocean view and realized that we have seen so many beautiful beaches here in Quintana Roo. It almost seems like we go to one beach and we are in awe and tell ourselves that this is the most beautiful beach we have seen and then we head over to another beach and, “BAM” this one is the most beautiful beach we have seen! So hard to choose our favorite so we’ll just talk about a couple of the ones that stand out the most.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions on how to get to these beaches, send us an email.

Puerto Morelos Beach: We love it here because this beach is like a swimming pool and of course the water is warm like a tub. We like this beach better than Playa Del Carmen and Cancun as it is not crowded and there are no big waves crashing on you due to the beautiful reef which makes for great snorkeling which we highly recommend you do when visiting Puerto Morelos. Another cool thing, on this beach you will see fish swimming by you which has almost given me a heart attack and made me run out of the water but that’s just because I’m still traumatized by watching Shark Week.

Isla Blanca: Not really an island, as it is actually a peninsula just a short drive out of Cancun.  This beach is consider to be a “virgin beach” as it has not been developed (yet) by large resorts.  It is very tranquil and peaceful and the water is the most beautiful turquoise blue that we have ever seen.  Pictures won’t do it justice as to how beautiful it is.  You have to make sure you bring an umbrella, drinks and food to eat as there is only one place that we saw that sold anything.  There is also a lagoon and some mangrove that you can see near the area where you will park. The lagoon has beautiful flamingos. You will have to rent a car and get ready to drive on a dirt road.

Xpu-Ha: Located just south of Puerto Aventuras, Xpu Ha is paradise! Not so crowded (which we love) there are a couple of bars/restaurants and also a small mini-mart where you can buy some ice, snacks and beer.  We usually take the colectivo here and walk the long stretch dirt road. You will pay about $40 pesos to get in (prices may vary) and is well worth it! There are palapas and beach chairs that you can rent, not expensive at all. This beach is beautiful with it’s white sand, turquoise water tropical paradise makes for the perfect post card picture!

Tulum Beach: Our ancestors knew a thing or two about real estate! I’s all about Location, Location, Location! when you come to Tulum and visit the archeological site you can take the stairs down to the beach for a nice swim in that beautiful crystal clear water and white sand! The energy here is something else as it almost feels like you are in another world.  Where else can you swim in such a beautiful place and look up and see the amazing ruins above the hilltop. By far Tulum is one of our favorite beach! Tulum town is good to explore as well full of bars and restaurants, you can take the Tulum beach strip road which will take you into another side of the beach.
